The first thing you need to think about when it comes to planning a Christmas wedding is whether you want it to be a small wedding with only close family and friends there, or if you would rather have a large wedding.
If you decide to have a Christmas wedding that is quite small, then you have very little to worry about and can enjoy your special day. However, if you plan on having many guests and a large wedding, you might want to rethink having a Christmas wedding.
First of all, remember that your friends will want to be with their families on Christmas, and as such you might have many people that are unable to come. On the other hand, Christmas is usually the time when family travels to be together at one spot, so you might be able to get your entire family together without them having to incur additional airline expenses, which would happen if you had the wedding at another time of the year.
The next thing you need to think about when it comes to planning a Christmas wedding is the weather factor. If you live in an area where it never snows, this is something that you do not necessarily have to think about. However, if you have family that is flying in from a place where it frequently snows, you might run the risk of cancelled or delayed flights.
If you plan on having your wedding in a place that has lots of snow, you should perhaps reconsider your wedding to either a warmer place, or a warmer time in the year. After all, you do not want your Christmas wedding to have to be cancelled because of blizzard conditions!
Of course, your Christmas wedding does not have to be one that actually takes place right on Christmas Day. Instead, you can have your wedding sometime in December and still have it considered as such.
